Say What ?

say what

If you're aged ten to 18, Say What? is your chance to tell us what you think about local issues that affect you. Sign up and we'll hold your details on our database, and invite you to take part in different consultations. You'll be rewarded for your time with a £5 high street voucher for each consultation that you take part in.

We'll also give you the opportunity to get involved with exciting projects, including organising young people's events, updating our website and challenging the way young people are perceived.

To date we now have 380  young people on our database!

Say What? has, up until recently, only been piloted within the city council.  Now we have launched the project to allow external organisations and groups to work with us and involve young people in the planning of their service delivery and decisions. If your service carries out consultation - we can help.

Open Spaces and Play Strategy

The council is updating its Open Spaces and Play Strategies. say What? members took part in a consultation so that young people's opinions could be taken into account when the new strategies are written. Read all about it.

Children and Youth Winter Brochure

A group of Say What? members worked with us to help design our activity brochure. They told us they wanted it split into sections for different aged young people and parents, so people could find the information they wanted quickly.

They also asked for photos of young people and their artwork inside, puzzles and speech bubbles. If you see our new brochure, you'll see how great their ideas were.
